Twisted tales                             Lies entwined Words unheard                            

between the sky’s                          self importance       and my self denial *time is always, the (un)forgiving  one*                     

W hile our thoughts are                Mainly in the clouds We can see the ground from *a different perspective *                                                                 

T he sky and I Understand each other               We share the same breathing space                                

controlling love    being controlled           by a love *unloved*.                                          

Reflecting Autumn        And all her finery    Beguiling beauty                               

Falling  leaves Leading pathways  Strewn with gold                                       

The young can teach the old much About such and such While the old can teach, the young        *resilience*                                                                               

How long must Autumn lament   Until Spring All fallen leaves re birthed         * anew *                                                                                       

Nature’s rubbish Discarded Manmade                       

Musefulness discovered Where seldom seen Unbridled emotions                                        

The Autumn years.           Where hands show your age Where time is ...... irreplaceable                                  

Holding on to Clasping the hold of Holds grasp          * Summer’s skeleton *                                                                  

Imprisoned shadows   Autumn surrenders Just let go                                  

Sunlight on the water Aborting cold, grey air Reminders of warm echoes And Summers promised fair                          

  Each step taken                With intrepid paces Fearless journey                             

starved of thoughts                     and        brittle bones (of breaths) broken                                                  

T he sound of Rain                       The ground, sodden with tears Washing away words                                                              

Searching for shadows                  Finding love’s ache Hidden pain

 

  Imposing                                         Sky stalking            Formidable                    

Tenderness Tante’s touch               Endearment                            

W here were you     When Winter breathed        On Autumn’s sleeves                                    

  Cowardly coward      Where a white feather displays Reflection of self

Somethings you know,  but can never say        Fear of reprising truths muted ambition                                     

Fungi flowers                            Embedded in tree stump      mycotrophic

trees leaves  c arpet the ground where the shadows dance where Autumn breathes                                             

Walking through Autumn.             Gathering up memories                    To warm your Winter                                        

A shy Sun, splashing shadows Early afternoon       An artist’s canvas awaits                                                                                     

Every word obscured              A pandemic outbreaking       Lip reading extinct                          

The bigger the plate The smaller the appetite          Eating disorder                           

  Locked fortress No way in                           Hidden heart                

Cold marble steps and floors christened  with  knees *collecting the debts of sins*                                                                     

  the eye of  my world awakening       your mornings                                                                          

The light just right                         Where now the fallen shadows Pave a walk’s way                                                                         

When the day becomes  too heavy          and evening  has to carry  time                   

I  will always be         Right  here   where you leave me Amongst aspiring aspirations
